George Pell

Managing Director & General Manager

George was born and raised in Bath. After studying at King Edward’s School he went on to study History of Art at the University of Nottingham, graduating with honours.


His first job in London was as trainee manager at Home House. He was rapidly promoted to become the night-club manager, and then House Manager. While at Home House successfully launched the 21 Portman Square extension working alongside the design team from Zaha Hadid. A new challenge was faced at the re-launched Mayfair Arts Club where he was appointed as Nightclub General Manager.


George joined Pret a Diner with KP Kofler and ran a hugely successful season at The Royal Academy, Burlington Gardens. He organised parties for Sotheby’s, Goldman Sachs, New York Times, Zaha Hadid and Tracey Emin. He was head-hunted to become GM of The Brompton Club.



George joined L’Escargot in 2014 as GM and has recently been appointed MD. George is a member of the Reunion des Gastronomes, Devonshire Society, FSB, and was an Ambassador for the Jockey Club.
